Built by its namesake William Waldorf Astor in 1901 with two additions in 1914, The Astor reflects the gilded age grandeur of its period. Design firm Pembrooke & Ives has enhanced its historic interiors with new, and complementary finishes while also restoring many of the intricate original details. Offering 70 one- to four-bedroom condominium residences, the 12 story building boasts entirely updated layouts that retain features found in fine pre-war construction along with an amenity package to meet residents’ needs. The Astor’s Upper West Side location provides unmatched convenience and proximity to Lincoln Center, the Theater District, museums, and schools.

The grand lobby boasts new bronze and glass entry doors and a new Portoro marble concierge desk provides a stunning focal point. Original stone floors, walls, and plaster crown moldings are enhanced by new recessed lighting, new plaster fresco panels, and a newly-commissioned plaster relief sculpture along with welcoming seating areas featuring modern furnishings. Thoughtful services and amenities include a 24-hour concierge, a loft-like fitness center, and a children’s playroom.

Residences feature a marriage of contemporary and traditional features and including gracious, traditional entry halls, ten-foot ceilings, state-of-the-art open kitchens, windowed baths, and restored wood burning fireplaces. New, fine finishes include white oak flooring and custom crown moldings while kitchens feature custom millwork, Calacatta marble slab countertops, backsplash and waterfall edge island, and appliances by Gaggenau and Miele. Opulent master baths feature dynamic marble tile floors and walls with a marble mosaic feature wall with a cerused white oak vanity. Residences are filled with abundant light and enjoy views of Broadway and the Upper West Side.

The complete offering terms are in an offering plan available from the Sponsor. File No. CD13-0262. Equal Housing Opportunity.
